Editorial standards

How we work

AdvisorIQ is paid for by the asset managers who sponsor webinars. These are the rules that keep it worth an advisor's time.

As of Oct 6, 2026, AdvisorIQ's editorial standards set 6 rules, including that sponsors fund sessions while AdvisorIQ picks the topics and speakers, and that no fee is ever tied to fund flows or assets raised.

Sponsors fund sessions; we pick topics and speakers

Asset managers sponsor webinars. AdvisorIQ chooses each session's topic and its speakers. No fee is ever tied to fund flows or assets raised.

We never charge a fee tied to fund flows or assets raised.

Every sponsor is named

Each session's sponsor is named on its page and in the schedule.

Our emails never pitch a product

AdvisorIQ emails are schedules, replays, deadlines and messages about your account. They never promote a product, a fund or a firm. You choose which topics we email you about in your account.

No lists for sale

We never sell or rent lists of advisors. A sponsor receives details only of advisors who registered for its own session, never another sponsor's.

CE credit

We list CE credit only where the designation body has approved the program, or mark it as pending until it has. Each session shows its credit by body and hours.

CFP Board does not accept practice management, marketing, sales, or specific company or product presentations for CE (CFP Board program requirements). Under its 40-hour rule, for reporting cycles that begin after late 2027, up to 5 hours of practice management will count (CFP Board FAQ).

How each body's rules work: CFP, CIMA, CPWA and RMA, CFA and IAR CE by state. Every rule we show links to its source and the date we last checked it.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. When a correction changes the meaning of a page, we say what changed and when, on that page. CE rules are re-checked against each body's own pages, and each rule shows the date of its last check.
