Privacy policy

What we collect, why, who sees it, and the choices you have.

As of Oct 6, 2026, AdvisorIQ sets one first-party cookie, shares a registrant's details only with the sponsor of the session they register for, and uses 3 service providers: Cloudflare, Resend and Anthropic.

Who we are

AdvisorIQ is operated by AdvisorIQ LLC ("we"). AdvisorIQ is part of the IQ Network with ETFIQ. This policy covers advisoriq.com.

Your account

When you create an account, your account details are held by AdvisorIQ's identity service, a separate system we operate for the IQ Network. It holds:

  • your email address and name;
  • your firm, title and phone number;
  • your city, state and zip code;
  • your channel (for example RIA, hybrid or broker-dealer);
  • your CRD number, if you give it;
  • your answers to the ten profile questions asked when you register for a session, about your role, firm and practice;
  • whether you turned on "Do not share my details with sponsors";

We sign you in with a one-time link sent to your email, so we do not store a password.

CRD matching

When you enter your CRD number, we match it against the SEC's public Investment Adviser Public Disclosure (IAPD) data to confirm your registration. If your CRD is not in that data, for example because you are registered only as a broker, we record it as self-reported.

CE records and certificates

If you use the CE tracker, we keep:

  • your designations, reporting-cycle dates and the states where you are registered as an investment adviser representative;
  • your CFP Board ID, Investments & Wealth Institute ID or CFA Institute member number, if you give them, so credit can be reported to those bodies;
  • each credit you record: provider, program, date, hours and credit categories;
  • certificates you upload. Files are stored privately and are available only to you when signed in;

When you upload a certificate, we send the file to an AI model provided by Anthropic, which reads the provider, program, date, hours and credit types. You review and confirm those details before the credit counts toward your requirements.

Registration and attendance

When you register for a session or watch a replay, we record the registration, how many minutes you attended live or on replay, and any questions you asked or poll answers you gave. We use this to give you CE credit and to run the session.

Sponsors, our emails and anonymous profiling

When you register for a session or a sponsored replay, we collect your contact and firm details and your answers to ten questions about your practice. Registering for a sponsored session, live or its replay, shares your contact details (name, email, phone, title, firm, location and CRD), those answers, and your attendance and CE credit for that session with that session's sponsor, and no other company. Your account also puts you on AdvisorIQ's own email list for sessions, CE deadlines and research, which we never share with sponsors and you can leave from any email. We keep a copy of each registration's answers without your name, email or CRD, and look at it only in totals.

Email

We email you sign-in links and messages about your account. If you use the CE tracker, we send reminders 90, 30 and 7 days before each deadline. A new account also gets our emails about live sessions, replays and research. You can turn any topic off in your account's email preferences or with the unsubscribe link in each email. AdvisorIQ emails never pitch a product.

Cookies and bot checks

We set one first-party cookie, aiq_session, a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is set only when you sign in and lasts up to 30 days.

Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a bot, is submitting them. Turnstile processes signals from your browser to do this.

Cloudflare hosts the site and processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.

Service providers

We use these providers to run AdvisorIQ. They process data on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare: hosting, databases, file storage and Turnstile.
  • Resend: email delivery.
  • Anthropic: reading uploaded certificates.

Asset managers who contact us

If you send a request through For asset managers, we keep the name, work email, firm, role and message you give us, and use them only to reply and to discuss sponsorship.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including California and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of certain sharing. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

To make a request, email privacy@advisoriq.com. We will confirm your identity before acting on it.

To stop your details going to sponsors, turn on "Do not share my details with sponsors" in Your privacy choices. You can still register for sessions and earn CE. You can change your email preferences in your account at any time.

Security and retention

Certificate files are stored in a private bucket and served only through signed-in pages. The session cookie cannot be read by scripts on the page. We keep your account and CE records while your account is open. To close your account and have your records deleted, email privacy@advisoriq.com.

Children

AdvisorIQ is for financial professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes and contact

When we change this policy, we post the new version here and update the date at the top. Questions: privacy@advisoriq.com.
